Follow up without sounding creepy
Follow up without sounding creepy
Recovered leads should make your follow-up faster and more relevant, not strange.
The safest approach is to talk like a normal local contractor.
Good follow-up sounds like this
"We help homeowners in your area with AC repair."
"I wanted to see if you still needed a quote."
"We had availability this week and wanted to check whether you needed help."
"I can send information over if now is not a good time."
Bad follow-up sounds like this
Avoid:
- "We saw you on our website."
- "You visited our financing page."
- "You looked at water heater replacement at 2:14 p.m."
- "Our tracking pixel identified you."
- "We know you need service."
Use page context internally
Page context is useful for your team.
Use it to decide:
- Which service line to mention.
- Whether the lead is high intent.
- Whether to call now or later.
- Whether to create a quote, task, or review queue item.
Do not repeat detailed tracking context to the homeowner unless your legal or compliance process has approved that wording.
Give an easy opt-out
If someone is not interested, end politely.
"No problem. I will mark that down so we do not keep following up."
Then update your CRM or suppression process.
