Property owner, resident, and household matches

Property owner, resident, and household matches

Recovered profiles can sometimes represent the property owner, household, resident, or another contact connected to the property.

That distinction matters for home-service follow-up.

Why this happens

Identity and property data can be connected through:

  • Household records.
  • Property ownership records.
  • Contact databases.
  • Address history.
  • Email or phone associations.
  • Public and commercial data sources.

The result may be useful, but it still needs normal sales qualification.

How to handle it

When calling or following up, do not assume:

  • The person owns the property.
  • The person lives at the service address.
  • The person requested service.
  • The person is the final decision-maker.

Use normal qualification:

"Are you the right person to speak with about service at {{address_or_area}}?"

CRM notes

If your CRM has separate customer and service-location objects, avoid overwriting existing records without confirmation.

Create a task or note when the owner/resident relationship is unclear.

When to suppress

Suppress or archive leads when:

  • The person is not connected to the property.
  • The address is outside your service area.
  • The contact asks not to be contacted.
  • The lead appears to be a competitor, employee, vendor, or bad fit.
