Smartlead email follow-up basics
Smartlead email follow-up basics
Pipeline On can support email follow-up workflows when recovered leads include an email address.
Use approved messaging and make sure your outreach complies with applicable email rules.
When to use email
Email is useful when:
- Phone is missing.
- The visit was medium intent.
- You want a softer follow-up than a call.
- The lead needs nurturing before booking.
- You want to send service-line-specific content.
Recommended tone
Keep it local and helpful.
Example:
"Hi {{first_name}}, we help homeowners around {{city}} with {{service_line}}. If you are still looking for help, you can reply here or call us at {{phone}}."
What not to say
Avoid:
- "We saw you on our website."
- "You visited this page."
- "Our software identified you."
- Anything that feels overly specific or invasive.
Suppression
Make sure your email workflow can suppress:
- Unsubscribes.
- Existing customers.
- Employees.
- Competitors.
- People who request no contact.
Smartlead note
If you use Smartlead or another email tool, confirm your sending domains, unsubscribe handling, and CRM sync before sending live follow-up.
